What you've got to understand is that this is remains a freemium title. It's that model alone that's the problem. It's a trap. We worry that as soon as they start making explosive financial gains, they'll change things back to the way they were and leave us with months of bad gameplay experiences again. We'll be back to bad netcode, slow and unstable servers, cosmetic items for sale over fixes, support agents with bad attitudes, support blackouts, cheater shielding, intentionally unbalanced play mechanics, and VERY aggressive skill gap compression via skill based matchmaking. All of these things are true, and a lot of fun players have quit the game, stating that it's BROKEN. Another thing you have to understand is in this image. This right here. What in the world IS this?! We'll explain what you're seeing. They dramatically increased the requirements for earning season rewards - like cosmetics. Not only that, they copped out and hit us with TONS of timed content and repeats. That's not fun or interesting; that's just annoying. Who wants to go through all of that for a character costume? So, the top 5 count until you can FINALLY get the permanent costume prize is a whopping 125! That's not 125 matches; that's 125 times in the top 5. And if that's not a big enough insult, 45 of those must be in the top 3! Wait! There's more! To get it for both male and female, you would need to rank in the top 150 times and 70 times in the top 3! That's insane! People are quitting the game! Here's another. Think you joined the wrong match type and quit from the pre-game lobby so that you don't ruin the game for the other players? HA! That's against the rules now. You'll get a 10 second ultra soft automatic ban from matchmaking. What's that arbitrary rule for? We can see if you rage quit the game during a match, but exiting a lobby that's 👏🏾 still 👏🏾 matching 👏🏾 players? Get real! Now take a look at this one. For this season, we've played nine matches so far. Of those nine, we took six victories. Not just top 10, 1st place. You see it right? Go ahead and count them. To see those stats, other players MUST go to the Recent Matches tab. Otherwise, they won't see them at all because they're buried in the Personal Data tab. Classic Mode is set to default on 4-Player instead of the match type the player invests the most time in. Furthermore, they'd have to expand the cards to see the stats for the other game modes - that aren't displayed on the player card. THEN it doesn't even maintain count! We have six wins but it only shows five. It shows top 10 six times but we've actually placed in the top 10 a total of seven times this season. If the new season popped for us, that's it. That's all that matters. So, even if you were to argue that the just rolled it back because the season prematurely popped for us, it doesn't matter because we got star credit for the season when it popped. Resetting players to roll them back a day isn't fair. We were already playing the season! We had access to all of the season details on August 20, not August 21. We saw ALL of this. This happened because the Chinese company forgot to region lock the season launch worldwide, so we, in the US, were able to start the season half a day early. They should've just accepted it instead of rolling it back and cheating us out of a well earned victory.
For months, they had us playing like that, while hundreds of thousands of other players got to tear us apart with better settings. They finally turned off the graphical settings for all last month and haven't turned them back on. Fewer players can spend as much time in the game that way because it's just too demanding. We'd love to play more than two matches per day but our devices simply can't handle the abuse. That's not to mention the issue with PC players getting to lobby up with mobile gamers and hacking the game. PC players are hacking to beat mobile players. Let that process. And what's with this change? It's not like we're not making them aware of issues with the game. It's an unnecessary change. Sports tanks and flying cars needed to be changed, not the ability to heal in the car. That was a good thing. People can sort of patch themselves up and take medicine while driving. We don't recommend trying it though. Don't do that. The point is that it can be done. We don't really agree about the auto-heal though. We don't disagree either. That should be an option, to be totally objective. More aggressive players would suffer when trying to handle engagements they entered when they have to heal. Characters move slower, can't defend, and can't clip out to attack. It's an animation trap.
Anyway, that's all we got. We're done harping on Cyber Hunter for now. Hopefully they'll continue taking our feedback and making improvements to the game. We want that dreamy 2019 experience back. Got a gripe? Leave it below. For now, enjoy the game and don't let up on them. Keep fighting the good fight. We got 'em right where we want 'em. We're not ones to get wrapped up in politics or politicized social issues that don't have anything to do with law, but we've got to make a point here. Be careful who you follow and listen to, especially on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Just because an influencer games doesn't ipso facto make them a good person.
Popular YouTuber, Upper Echelon Gamers, has finally gaffed in a recent upload - more specifically, his August 21 upload about Call of Duty Cold War. In his commentary, he likens the non-profit civil rights group, Black Lives Matter, to a Cold War era communist regime. There's a lot to unpack here, so hold tight. We're not lying about a word of this. You can watch down below - until he deletes it. He states his position quite clearly, with no just cause for the comparison. He's grasping at straws. For those who aren't catching it, we'll point out coded messages in his commentary. 2:30 - Yuri Bezmenov's work on destabilizing western society has no bearing on African Americans demanding equal rights in response to systemic racism and police brutality. The Democrats' push from 1988 - 1994 for the codification of the 94 Omnibus Crime Bill does, however, as it mandated 85% of max sentencing for the convicted, regardless of the circumstances, and provided monetary gains to police who met arrest quotas to feed a system that already disproportionately targeted poor African Americans to feed the prison industry. This is what's meant by "defund the police (more on that later)." 4:05 - This is a misnomer. Lenin actually opposed conventional Marxism, stating that the pursuit of socialism could not be achieved in the way orthodox Marxists originally believed. Consequently, and counter to Marxist ideology, he proposed imposing a dictatorship over the proletariat. Leninism and Marxism are two different sets of ideals. Leninism is a state workforce driven nationalism, while Marxism is socialism. They look alike from the outside looking in, but they're not. Nationalism is government control of the economy, while socialism is control by the people. Corporatism is control of the economy by businesses, and capitalism is control of the economy by the wealthy. What Upper Echelon is arguing has been proven to be propaganda, and it was used by Lenin to found his Communist party. Lenin was a fascist-nationalist. 6:38 - Bezmenov's idea of social workers is fundamentally different from the African American idea of social workers. Bezmenov argued a total dissolution of the police force, while African Americans are asking for the bill that grants the police more money for bad behavior to be repealed. Upper Echelon is extrapolating out from the Cullors clip incorrectly. A Marxist is not a Leninist. Though he conveniently cut off the clip, we managed to figure out what Cullors was trying to say. We'll quote the same Britannica entry we linked to. The other conception is that of a permanent revolution involving a provisional coalition between the proletariat and the petty bourgeoisie rebelling against a capitalism that is only superficially united. Once a majority has been won to the coalition, an unofficial proletarian authority constitutes itself alongside the revolutionary bourgeois authority. Its mission is the political and revolutionary education of the proletariat, gradually assuring the transfer of legal power from the revolutionary bourgeoisie to the revolutionary proletariat. She's talking about this right here; a transfer of power from the wealthy to the working classes. 8:48 - The system is not stable, it's ballooning out of control. This is evident in the multiple inflations throughout the year, when it used to be only once at the beginning of the year, the violation of natural human rights, price fixing schemes, wars for profit, the flattening of foreign economies, annexation of other free nations, denial of social aid in times of need, etc. Those are not markings of economic stability. Furthermore, the people have every right to rebel against an oppressive authority that does not bother itself with caring for those who give them power. Finally, what was shown in the clip does not include the word comrade. However, comrade is a Spanish word, not Russian, that essentially means ally. This is not a bad word, and the perception that its use is telling of USSR ideology appearing in a minority group is fallacious at best. Marx was German. He lived in multiple parts of Germany, England, France, and Belgium. He died in London in 1883, which was 35 years before Hitler began to move. No association there either. Twitter doesn't speak for everyone. People troll social media all the time. Who's to say most of these people aren't making fun? Why isn't that part highlighted? Only a few make the cut for the video? 10:13 - It does. American history courses have proven to be rife with whitewashing. Very many things that have been taught in American history classes have been proven demonstrably false, or even omitted from the record. Not only that, the following statement by Upper Echelon is alarmist. By whom? People are advocating for objective truth to be taught in history class by removing the current model, which is loaded with racist implications, and his insinuation is that the next will do the same or worse for the other team? This is closet advocating for the status quo using a scare tactic as a defense. 11:50 - The message of Black Lives Matter isn't intentionally untrue or untrue at all, for that matter. The legal system does prejudice racial minorities, especially those of Native African descent. We've already linked the crime bill, which he clearly hasn't read. Let's view stats, shall we? African Americans total less than 14% of the American population and hold only 10% of the wealth held by European Americans. That's a very obvious and very large wealth gap. Remember that percentage of the population. African Americans, however, are over 38% of the prison population. This is not proportionate. The claim is absolutely true. If the numbers were proportionate and the claim was false, wouldn't African Americans in prison number around a third of what it currently is? More, African American entrepreneurs are only about a third as likely to receive funding to start a business. More still, African American schools receive an estimated $23 billion less in funding. That's all true. Even the Scramble For Africa is true. 12:05 - Those are Caucasian people he's quoting. There is no evidence they're Black Lives Matter members. He opened that segment of video by revealing the fact that Black Lives Matter requires payment to join. This is to secure funding to power the movement. Just because someone says Black lives matter, doesn't mean they're in any way a part of the establishment. False equivocation. They're echoing a sentiment, and many do so disingenuously. Those are opportunists; chameleons. They have very obvious secondary objectives. He doesn't understand the difference between civil rights advocacy and antisocial attitudes. Fine, we'll show you both in the same video. Is she trying to destabilize the country? Sounds to us like she's chastising those who are. There's a huge difference between the two. What he's saying doesn't match up with the reality. 13:08 - This is the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure he's referring to when he says the statement is rhetoric. Notice there are other family structures in that same document. Not only that, they're saying they disrupt its prescription. In other words, they want to do away with condemnation of same sex parents. They also want to dissolve the prejudices against single parents and family units with more than two parents. For the uninitiated, single parent households in particular aren't uncommon - especially in African American communities due to the previously identified problems. The prescription instructs those parents to marry someone else. But what if their spouse is in prison for some trumped offense and serving 85% of the max sentence? They're supposed to just abandon their spouse? That perspective disadvantages that family because it leads to unequal treatment in the workforce, like single mothers and fathers being locked into bad part-time positions, or being denied promotions that come with needed raises due to concerns about future attendance. Ask the gamer in you if that's fair. No, it's not fair! If you earn a promotion, you should receive a promotion. Imagine you got good at a game but you only had one hand. You got enough points to place on the leaderboards, but the moderator came along and cut your points in half because you don't have two hands. So, you fall off of the leaderboards. And the real kicker is that they tell you to go get another hand in order to place. That's messed up right? You did the work but you were denied the reward on account of you being different. Imagine that being your reality. Some of us don't even have to.
What a completely tone deaf thing for him to say. The country has been at war for around 19 years. These protests didn't suddenly start, they've been happening regularly this whole century to date. It wasn't only Black Lives Matter protests either. What about the indigenous peoples protests? What about the unemployment and Wall Street protests? What about the anti-war protests? What about the underfunded schools protests? What about the gay marriage rights protests? Where has he been? 14:48 - That's the real statement he wanted to make right there. He wasn't really trying to talk about Call of Duty or go on some crusade about the rights of the people, he wanted to make an attempt at tearing down another civil rights movement, this time by likening that movement to Leninism. He's using the Big Red Scare tactic. "Don't trust those Black people! They're trying to take your rights!" That's what he's doing in plain sight, and talking down to his viewers in the process. Talking fast doesn't make a person more intelligent, it just makes them sound that way, as they float bad ideas by you. So, we broke it down piece-by-piece.
You know what? We've got a gripe. As you should know, we here at GP are die hard gamers as well as structural design hawgs. We absolutely LOVE both the things and, as nice as it is to love either other things or just one of those things, we are offended by very many standard layouts. Now, don't click off just yet. Give us a few more minutes of your time to explain ourselves.
800 square feet! $1500 per month! That's insane! And why is that a problem? They're all style, no substance. You get two basic bedrooms, one or two tiny bathrooms, no guarantee of in-unit laundry, no utilities, a small kitchen, and an unjustifiably large living room. If you're lucky, you'll get a view in that price. On top of that, you get loud neighbors, poor maintenance, community filth - or - strict rules to prevent community filth, shared plumbing issues, shared electrical failures, regular rent increases, and shared infestations! That's not a deal! Do you know what we see all the time? Neglect of the bath space. They use smaller than standard bathtubs now, they design small strip bathrooms, and the toilet is right up on the bathtub or shower. That's disgusting! No, really. That's disgusting. Why do we, the general populace, have to be okay with getting out of the shower, all clean and smelling good, and running into the toilet? Now you're rubbing toilet germs all over your previously clean body. That's gross!
It's not your set up that sucks, it's where you have to put it that does. The biggest insult is the fact that the glorified dorm rooms they sell or rent us don't have to feel so small. It's just that the designs are bad. That's why we also design structures for the community we'd like to someday build. All that being said, we're skipping the sign off and instead closing with a few renders of a new home we just finished planning. It's a two bedroom ranch that's only 907 square feet. The design is centered on maximizing the usefulness of the space, a big beautiful bathroom, and a glorious kitchen to make totally stacked sandwiches in. Have a look and please enjoy. Peace. What's up, folks? We've got a short one today. The numbers are in, and it appears that A Total War Saga: TROY topped 7.5 million downloads at launch. Yeah...THAT many. We told you that this game was going to be a hit. We told you that you need this game. We told you to get it. Now there are over 7.5 million other people for newcomers to possibly game with. We're taking our time with it, so we haven't yet completed our first playthrough. Trust and believe a review is coming. Besides that, why is Civilization 6 so bad??? Screw all the bias. We don't care if it pisses you off. This Civ game sucks. This is easily THE WORST Civ game we've ever played. Granted, we haven't played them all but we sure have played most of them. We know well enough that this iteration is terrible from experience alone.
It was loaded - and we mean LOADED - with easy exploits when it first launched, the Android version was two years late arriving, they break it each time they update it or package a patch in DLC, the DLC is way overpriced, and the balancing sucks. It seems to us that this more colorful and graphically impressive generation of Civ may be receiving such applause because of inclusionist philosophy. But inclusion isn't even the most important factor when producing a game at all, let alone a good one. So what if more civilizations from differing racial backgrounds make it into the game? What's that matter if they're broken? That isn't a good representation of that heritage and history at all. It's just a cheap gimmick. It's no question that Ethiopia was a powerful nation for quite some time. But the nation is being touted as almost impossible to beat without early aggression strategies after they've appeared in the match. That's not fun? And what about Pericles's Greece? That one uses faith exploits to no end. And Gandhi? Don't even get us started. Gandhi must be stopped. You can't expand in any direction without causing grievances with that guy. You virtually have no choice but to slaughter India to win a game with Gandhi in it. The AI builds wide in a horribly illogical way but somehow manages to own you in production, science, faith, and culture early on. That doesn't make sense - especially when Peter can duly build tall and do the exact same thing. That's so frustrating.
The favorite to win is always an AI civilization and they start breaking the rules immediately. They cut turns without proper justification and build wide faster than possible according to the rules. Why do we say this? Because they don't have enough SCIENCE to make the discoveries required to boost production that high. They literally don't have access to the structures for that by design - unless they cheat. You can take their cities without pillaging a thing and you won't find the buildings they need for that type of expansion. The science, culture, faith, production, and gold production are completely unexplained otherwise. They don't have enough homes and they're perpetually edging on a rebellion from the lack of amenities. That's cheating! They crank out settlers in half the turns while simultaneously beating you in other important things needed to expand. You can't reasonably say this is a good game. That said, the numbers say it all. We're going along with them. We're throwing our lot in with A Total War Saga: TROY this time around. Got a gripe? Leave it down below. But you probably won't make us budge on the matter. For now, Total War deserves a TON of credit this time around and Civilization has finally fallen. We can't wait for Humankind to officially launch so we can praise it as well.
Thanks for stopping by. We'll catch you later. Update: An update was made to the news regarding Xbox. Some misleading information was given, leading to a misinterpretation of Microsoft's plan for the holiday season. The segment was updated in accordance with more reliable information.
And the gifts just keep on giving. Upon your first launch of the game, you'll receive a special offer to register for the first DLC completely for free as well. All you'll have to do is register for Total War Access and link your Epic Games account. If you've already picked up the game from Epic Games, you can load the quick registration up during your first run of the game, and it'll automatically connect your account after you register and verify. BAM! Free Amazons DLC! The review will come soon, as we're digging around to get a game set up already. FYI: there's a bug that's preventing the game from running in windowed mode until you first turn off the setting, save it, turn it back on, and save again. So, if you have a multiple monitor set up, this baby is going to be initially running in full screen on the 1. There's also no window border, so you can't move it. Be sure to report that. NEXT 👏🏾 TOPIC 👏🏾!!! Civilization 6 FINALLY arrives on Android! After two full years of waiting, the never ending hype beast that is Civilization VI has finally come out of its unreasonably long iOS exclusivity period and launched on Android. Keep in mind, folks, that we're just being sarcastic because we absolutely HATE this kind of platform exclusivity. This is a mobile gaming experience. It's not like Apple's and Google's bread and butter are dependent on locking down titles. That's not how their sales work. But we can't actually confirm that was ever the case. It's just a jab. Don't take it to heart. The game looks pretty good but the UI could use some help in terms of accommodating the wide gamut of aspect ratios for smart devices these days. It's actually gotten quite out of hand for no good reason. But it is what it is, so let's enjoy our unreasonably tall smartphones that don't match our tablets and we want like experiences on. A toothless offer at best, the team opted to take the path of wackness that is offering a 60 turn free trial period. After that, you can spend unreasonable amounts of money to both buy the game and buy their overpriced DLC - that they usually pack fixes and improvements into. Imagine paying for fixes to a product that you paid for. Streamers can catch glitches, exploits, and cheats in video and still promote the game as a veritable 9 / 10 game. What a ripoff. Enjoyable as the game can be, it would be even more fun if it wasn't managed in such a fashion and wasn't always broken. NEXT 👏🏾 TOPIC 👏🏾!!!
On to the tears! It appears the release of the Series X won't be facing delays due to the manufacturing and shipping of the console during the age of Covid-19. Halo: Infinite, however, isn't having such luck. The team came forward with a statement about Covid-19 and the safety of their staff as the West continues to mishandle the pandemic. No surprise there either. For now, the team is expecting to release the game in 2021. CLOSING 👏🏾 STATEMENTS 👏🏾!!! Need to vent? Leave it down below. We're not going to fuss this time. You've had your hearts broken enough in this post. Besides, we don't have anything to fuss at you about. But we will say that you - yes, you, right there - are great. Go forth and be awesome. Thanks for reading our thoughts and getting better with us.
