This is the page we use to endorse people, places, products, services, content, projects, and ideas that we like. If it goes here, it stays here - unless we don't like it anymore. Trust and believe, it takes a lot of messing up to be removed from this page. We honor integrity above most else. That being said, we're careful to stand by something that we formally endorse unless there's a violation of our core principles involved. Therefore, even if we stop liking something, that something can maintain our support if that thing remains respectable. Honestly, we may stop liking something just because a change made it uninteresting. But that's not a change that warrants us revoking our public endorsement. Enjoy your time in this special place that we hold so dear.

House the Homeless
There's absolutely no doubt that we have a more social perspective here at Gamers Pointe. Why? Because we care about people and we don't think that the few wealthiest citizens should control all the industries of a nation. We believe the people should maintain most control of that because, well, it does belong to everyone. And before someone who hasn't actually read the original written observations of such a perspective can gleefully spread their ignorance, a social society DOES NOT lose or exist without personal property. Those are nationalist societies, like Nazi Germany and mid-19th century Cuba. Through a process called nationalization, these governments arbitrarily seized and redistributed wealth and property how they saw fit, not in favor of the citizens but in favor of the governments and the leaders occupying seats in said governments. They're completely different philosophies and practices.
"If you can't respect that, your whole perspective is wack" - Jay-Z Can anyone explain to us why it's not okay for the people of a nation, the country's working class, to own and regulate the means of production, distribution, and exchange? When everyone is in control of it, won't it then actually be a free market? If that's what's valued, why isn't that being prioritized? |
We currently live largely in a system of profiteering and exploitation. That's predatory because such a system depends on the unfortunate and downtrodden for the prosperity of the savvy and well liked. It doesn't give everyone equal freedom to succeed or even earn a reasonable living. It allows for the wealthiest to control the financial aspects of the lives of everyone who doesn't fit the mold. That literally means that just your work may earn your boss $1 million per year and you will only be paid less than $30,000 of that on average. In what way is less than $30,000 fair compensation for $1 million worth of work? Now imagine that employer has 5000 employees. Each employee receiving just 0.03% [or less] of the revenue they earn their employer is being grossly undervalued. Those 5000 employees generate at least $5 billion in gross revenue for the employer. The pay for those employees [collectively] remains only 0.03%, or less. That's a payroll of only $150 million. So, where does the other $4.85 billion go? Taxes? Actually, no.
The average corporate tax rate in the US alone went from 35% to just 21% in 2018. The lowest the corporate tax rate had been was only 1% in 1910. The highest it had ever been was 52.8% in 1968. The corporate tax comes out of the taxable income of the company. So, payroll, insurances, and intellectual property protection fees are deducted from the total first. Then they pay everything in their tax package. That rate was 35%, and now it's only 21%. Let's use the 35% figure for the sake of argument. Is that rate all that much? No. The average total tax burden for a Michigan citizen, including property tax, is 43 - 47%. That's for one income. Do businesses have to pay property tax? Of course. When they own the property. But property taxes are valued individually according to an assessment, which can be pretty arbitrary. So we'll have to skip past that for now. We're now deducting 35.03% from their revenue. Then they have other operational costs like maintenance materials, product materials, equipment, decor, etc. Well, they usually get discounts for buying in bulk and hiring specialists to shop for the best prices. How many of you knew that was an actual career? It offers pretty decent pay as well.
Let's be generous and say they pay out 60% of that $5 billion total. That's $3 billion gone every year. Then let's add $1 billion to the corporate savings account(s) [assuming this is a compliant company]. Guess what. The leadership is still divvying up $2 billion amongst themselves and did the LEAST actual work. If your work produces $1 million in revenue, shouldn't more than half of that be yours when your employer does significantly less actual work? A board of 5 in a private company just each earned $400 million to converse and delegate all day. Each leader just made 2.6 times (260%) more in one year than all 5000 of their employees did combined. How long would it take you to earn that by doing good work for them, working longer than them, and being loyal to them? It would take you 13,333.33 years to earn what they earn in one year at the average rate of pay. How does that $30,000 per year breakdown hourly? It's approximately $14.42 per hour. This calcs out because not everyone is going to actually earn $30,000 for full-time work. Many roles in the company will only earn $19,000 per year, which is approximately $9.13 per hour. And that's not even illegal in the US yet. By comparison, we aim to dedicate a total 15% of our annual revenue to payroll alone, and no roles will earn less than $15 per hour [$31,200 per year].
That's why we the like the House the Homeless project by Inf Steez. This man is a relentless intellectual and magnificent artist. We were completely baffled by how knowledgeable he is and how complex his ideas are. His ambitions and story are unbelievable. We strongly suggest you give this guy another look and see what his projects are about. He's an artist who truly cares about you and everyone else. He's not chasing clout, he's not using politics to make himself relevant, he's simply doing the work and not giving a good goddamn how much you adore him for it. Let's finally solve the homelessness problem. There's room for everyone to have shelter and at least the most basic necessities. Follow him by clicking his stage name above to keep up with what he's doing and how he's doing it.

This One's For You
Inf Steez feat. PALA
This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL song that WE LOVE to listen to regularly since it's release. Most of the views probably came from us, if we're honest. These guys didn't play around with this track and they deserve some recognition for making such good music - especially in this economy. The music industry is becoming a toxic place for really talented musicians. It's like newer, older, and deep artists - rappers especially - aren't allowed to enter / re-enter and be successful anymore. True, entertainers have a home there, but it's not for just any type of entertainer, it's for all types of musicians. There are other entertainment sub industries for the rest.
Anyway, we don't want to get caught up ranting about the state of the entertainment industries. We'd much rather focus on this beauty of a song. It's a song about healthy long-term relationships and how magical true companionship feels. Inf, the rapper, expresses how his loneliness essentially disappeared when he met the woman he loves. He even goes into detail about the mechanics of their relationship, all in rhyme, and doesn't concentrate on sex as filler for the lyrics. Everything he said was meaningful. PALA serenades listeners with both beautiful and buttery smooth vocals in the chorus and beyond. We also found that he produced the instrumental as well, so he's responsible for the good vibrations in the grown up Hip Hop / House music they're performing on top of. He's got a playfully jazzy piano going that just puts smiles on our faces. Please give these guys a shot and help them go viral. We LOVE This One's For You by Inf Steez & PALA! |
