You can again expect no judgment from us, just a discussion based in valid reasoning and evidence to address your concerns. We understand that some may know the things we’ve argued and are looking for justification for supporting the idea on moral grounds. Well, we won’t let you down. Modern life is like a game. We’re gamers here, so you should have known that time was coming. Yes, life is like a game. You can play it, play it well, and still fail. But that’s not exactly because of you but some hitch in the setup of that game that keeps you from succeeding when you’ve done everything right. Most call this luck. We disagree. Luck is some miraculous-like thing that happens when no one is in control of the outcomes of situations. That isn’t really the case here. It’s deep and systemic. Imagine you’re in a simulation for a game like Clash of Clans. We think everyone reading this is familiar with titles like that by now. Clash of Clans wasn’t always what it is now, however, and we’re just using it as an example. We’re not saying this timeline is true, or anything, only that the setup is adequate for our purposes. We honestly don’t know how the development processes or what decisions were made for what issues. Inside looking out.Imagine you’re inside one of these games. You’re new to the world, you’re happy to be there, you have a wealth of potential, and you’re motivated to go on and do great things. There’s a lot of development already, there are tons of people, there’s already a hierarchy of power, and the region you started in has a wealth of resources between nature and the people around you. What we just described was your birth into the modern world. Moving on to your formative years, the tutorial and brief campaign mode are your formal education; beginner, intermediate, and advanced. You’re also protected from the world around you during this time. That’s what your parents or guardians do. The whole time you’re inside of this shell of almost perfect defense, the rest of the world is churning away around you. Seems fair, right? Keep reading.
The outside looking in.The world around you continues to move as you grow. They see you but they largely pay you no mind. The world won’t stop turning while they watch you, so they continue working toward their goals. They’re seasoned, many of them are wealthy, they’ve formed alliances, and they’ve been fighting for a long time already. As they jockey for position, they set up a strict selection process. Those who have will be chosen as potential allies, those who have not will become targets. The haves who opt out of cooperation and wish to live in peace become targets as well. That’s really how most people strategize in these games. But that’s still fair, right? Many of the people already in these alliances were given tons of gifts when they joined the game. They got the starting protections that everyone gets, they received extra free gifts from the invitations of those who were already pretty well established and powerful, and they were brought into a decent alliance when they joined the fun. Remember this is an analogy of a person being born and their family. On top of all of that, they regularly receive powerful gifts from the more powerful players around them that keeps them protected. And because of all of these gifts, they also have the freedom to move about as they please. Is this still fair? You didn’t enter the game with an advantage, so you aren’t chosen to join any of these powerful pre-existing alliances. Instead, these alliances go on to merge with other powerful alliances to become even more powerful and compete with enemy alliances. You, the little guy, are stuck in the middle of the conflict and have valuable resources. The breakdown...So, what is what? You, the player, are a city. Each city is an individual. Clusters of cities are families, small alliances are countries, and powerful alliances are superpowers. Your start of the game is your birth into the world, the natural resource deposits are employment, and certain gifts and bonuses are features. The shield is the protection of your parents, the game itself is the world, and the developers are the United Nations, etc. You get the picture. Politics, politics, politics!
resources. Those resources are the people who are placed around them. With the money they invest in the game, it goes against the developer’s interest to support the rights of the majority around them. So, they don’t. You’re stuck. The next thing that happens is people start quitting the game. Fewer people competing in the game means fewer new people joining the game. New players joining represents birthrates and people quitting the game represents...you guessed it. People opting out. Passive income [ad revenue] goes down, and small purchases decrease as well. This is the same as tax revenue. Well, can’t have that! So, they make a move to give you just a little more survivability and let you teleport to another location. This is them controlling where you can go and where you can’t. Also, you have to buy this item. This is the cost you have to pay just for your right to travel abroad be restored. They already make money from your presence, your taxes, and they make you also pay for your own freedom to travel anywhere around the world, your passport. Okay, more people stay in the game so the powers that be are satisfied with that. More money; everyone’s happy, right? No. They still haven’t rectified the issues the disadvantaged are faced with. The overlay for the underlay.Larger groups with more power still have first dibs on natural resources. And because they have more power, they also have access to better resources and larger deposits than you do. It’s the same with more powerful individuals too. Wait, WHAT?! Yeah, you didn’t notice that before, did you? It gets even worse than that. The resources you’re able to get to are also dominated by those more powerful people as well. You’ll have to put yourself at risk by going even farther out, a distinct disadvantage, to find resources that match your level. You make a larger investment, you take a bigger risk, and you gain less. Then what’s considered totally fair, but really isn’t, is the more powerful people around you take advantage of your vulnerability. You get attacked from all directions. Raid after raid. Before you can recover, you have another legion of powerful troops marching on your location. You couldn’t defend yourself the first time and now you’re going to be crushed again. You’re pummeled time and again until you quit. After you quit, the cycle just continues. The players you were associated with are left to pick up the pieces. They start getting swarmed as well, and they continue to protect you for a short while after you opt out. That’s lingering debts and funerary costs. Without you there to help them, they become targets too. Sure, they did what they could to protect you but it simply wasn’t enough. They didn’t have enough of what you needed to pull through the difficult times. Even if you don’t quit and you could afford to move about several times, your local group still suffers. You’ll eventually have a decision to make. Either you continue to jump around until you find a safe place or you have to pay even more for an item to return you home. Sure, some people find ways to get selected by these very powerful alliances, but the majority don’t. What we have are people going all-in on the miniscule chance they’ll also be selected like the extremely small minority of people with your same disadvantages. None of it is fair.Life is fair, it's people that aren't. It’s just the way it is now but it shouldn’t be, and it didn’t have to be. We can also do something about it. It took thousands of years for the world to become the way it is. Instead of blaming life, we can make great strides to reverse the damage in just a few years with Population Redistribution. In order to break this system, we need to first focus on powerful actions that force those above us to pivot immediately. It’s not tiny, infrequent changes that make all the difference, it’s the regular transformative innovations that do. With these impactful changes, those people don’t have time to find a loophole and take ownership of the adjustment so they can exploit flaws they created when you weren’t looking. When you don’t like something, you should have the freedom to leave on a whim. That diffuses tensions creates a plethora of opportunities for everyone. Again, we’re not anti-business because we are a business. We’ve figured out how to build and maintain a business that supports Population Redistribution. We’ve learned how a change in perspective can change everything. Imagine how much better your experience with the game would be if you could freely move about until you can position yourself better. Instead of being told where you can go, you can just go there. You can select places on the map where there are resources you need. You land there and begin working right away instead of losing everything you have while you’re unemployed. As things are now, two to three months of unemployment is all it takes for most people to end up starving on the streets. But if you can just go build a powerful business in a small country, you can grow that economy, get rich, create and fill positions, and move on to the next country to expand. Not only that, other people are doing the same to end abject poverty and homelessness. The world we live in today says it’s okay to discriminate against the poor. The example we used demonstrates that. People want another rags to riches story to draw inspiration from but won’t do anything to help those stories come true. They talk and talk but usually take no actual action. They come up with schemes to run away with donated money and ineffective programs. Sure, a program may get someone off the street for a few months, but they’ll end up right back out there as soon as they lose their job. This system doesn’t work. Right now, employers are entitled to underpaying workers while demanding more work and better quality than they pay for. They know they’re doing it and won’t change it because it’s totally legal to do. They commonly pay less than the cost of living, disagree with a universal basic income, fight against livable unemployment payment, spike prices, and advocate for rapid eviction processes. How are the masses supposed to beat this system every time? To be truthful, they aren't supposed to. The majority have to fail because it’s designed that way so that someone who isn’t in need can make a bigger profit; excess for the sake of excess. In closing...
We’ve had hundreds of people knock us for being what we are just because some rich people with multiple businesses built gamer hotels. So? How many of you can even get to those hotels or afford them when you get there? How many of you can run off to Amsterdam just to stay in a gaming themed hotel? South Korea? Canada? How many of you have a solid plan and skills to build a pro basketball league? Or a pro video gaming league? How many of you have the will and ability to build a streaming platform and mobile app for the masses? A digital broadcast with round the clock feeds from all manner of gaming channels? How many of you can build a place for gamers, entertainers, and professionals to gather? We’re trying to do that and we were told there’s not a need for something like that. How so? How many people don’t have a desire to build a career in the gaming industry? Are most or all gamers successful in doing so? Absolutely not. Most fail and have to give up something they love just so they can survive.
This project isn’t about politics and representation, it’s about taking notice of a need and providing a marketplace for that. There is a need for collaboration so that gaming channels can grow and become profitable much more quickly. There is a need for gamers and entertainers to work together to generate high quality content for the masses. There is a need for more game development and more types of games for people to enjoy. There is a need for a community where professionals can go and serve the public without being squeezed out by larger competition. There is a need for hotels for travelers and homes for poor people who love gaming. There is a need for more professional leagues for athletes who don’t get drafted for existing national leagues. There is a need for new sports that more people can play professionally. There is a need for more job positions that will all be filled. There is a need for more job satisfaction, job security, and better pay. There is a need for people to chase new opportunities. Population Redistribution doesn’t only help us, it helps you as well. That’s why you should support the Gamers Pointe project, and that’s why you should especially support Population Redistribution. Thank you for sticking with us this long. We really appreciate you reading our thoughts on this matter. Don’t forget to share, like, and comment. We’ll see you soon. All photos in this post are stock images from Unsplash.com Another Argument For Population Redistribution...So, you know what we mean when we refer to Population Redistribution, you know some of the concerns of the opponents of it, and you also know more about how the practice would address some problems. We’d like to now expand on that because readers should be more familiar with the issues and how to go about solving them. We’re not talking about a bunch of useless programs and large political initiatives to whip the vote here either. We’re talking about real things the people can do in order to retake control of all of our lives. Bringing the issue close to home...
So, what’s the point? When the workers are freely able to leave the system, that system cannot persist. What we described and asked you about is systematic underemployment. What good is it to create positions that aren’t filled? And if you can’t get the job, shouldn’t you try again elsewhere? And the issue is that you’re not exactly free to do so with ease. You need permission, you need money, and you need to navigate the plethora of laws around international travel that serve to discourage you from doing so. But what’s important to note is that you’re also a customer or potential customer. That’s the rub. If they let you leave freely, you can’t find ways to get money so that you can give it all to well established people at home. Do we have your attention now? Granted, the customer part makes sense, but there are plenty of other jobs... There are a lot of other jobs, however, those are in the minority. We’re not joking, the great majority of jobs in just the United States are service positions. Here’s a rundown from the Pew Research Center with citation. This is eye opening information and we’re not necessarily discussing political alignment with this. We’re discussing a non-partisan economic problem that needs an actual solution, not a bandage or a debate between parties under which the main issue is who wins and not them cooperating with the public to fix the problem.
potential customers are free to go, the ability of those companies to survive there without adapting is reduced. When tight budgets cause reductions in the available manpower of a company, quality goes down and job dissatisfaction goes up. The result of this cost reduction measure frustrates customers. However, the lack of other options makes them stay anyway. When both customers and workers know they have somewhere else they can go, potentially better, they will explore that other option before recommitting their time and money to the establishment they’re dissatisfied with. The key problem with home economies is that shoppers are stuck looking for products and services only at home. If the customer and the worker are only able to look around at home, and there are few options, they’ll eventually end up back where they started. They’re stuck in a loop. This is the trick that keeps the overwhelming majority of us in pocket. The higher ups don’t have to change because you’ll eventually be back. A common strategic move in economies like this is to then start acquiring competitors. That presents even fewer options. Sometimes they don’t even tell you when they acquire another business, so you’ll end up shopping with them anyway. That’s bold. You’re just anti-business… We’re not anti-business, we are a business. Here, let’s do this. Do you hate Coca-Cola and what they stand for, but prefer Dasani water? Cool, check this out. Coca-Cola owns Dasani. Prefer Powerade over Gatorade? Awesome. Coca-Cola owns Powerade too. Enjoy a cold Fanta here and there? Coca-Cola owns Fanta as well. Think Minute Maid is the most refreshing juice on the market? Get this. Coca-Cola owns Minute Maid. Eh, screw Minute Maid! It’s all about Simply Orange! Hmph! Coca-Cola owns Simply Orange. Glaceau Smartwater, Ciel, Odwalla, Fuze, and even Honest Tea are all owned by Coca-Cola. Some of your yogurt is produced by Coca-Cola. Here’s a full list of Coke products that you buy. It’s not that easy to get away from the brand you hate, is it?
Fine. What’s in it for you? Our business was designed around the people’s right to move around. We’re demonstrating that companies don’t have to lock people in for the sake of survivability. We’re creating more opportunities for more people, which we intend to fill, and empower the small business owner. We want a world with more businesses in it, no matter how small, and this initiative will allow for that to happen more easily. Let’s take streaming for example. A key issue facing many streamers today is the oversaturation of a limited market. So many people are trying to get into this industry but there isn’t as much room as there used to be because there aren’t very many platforms to start on. Furthermore, large movements for already established content creators drown out the smaller streamers who are just getting their start. This makes the climb up a lot more difficult. With Gamers Pointe, those newer content creating gamers will have a lot more options at their disposal. They’ll have ready access to other talented people so they can mix ideas, acquire graphics and animations, place music, hold interviews, and collaborate for mutual exposure. What we gain from this situation is a shared audience for the leagues we’re starting. Let’s add Call of Duty Mobile to this example. The gamers in question are all playing some version of Call of Duty, the new creator being centered on Call of Duty Mobile. By being featured on a console or PC Call of Duty channel, they can showcase their skills and share communities. Sure, they can already do this but the challenge is being noticed by, and coming in contact with, the larger act. In a real world community, a larger act could easily be a neighbor. So, they run into each other and share information. The larger act then decides to give the newcomer a chance. Both communities grow and we also have a potential team to showcase. We take that collaboration and promote it, creating a demand for this pair to team up. Let’s say they do. Now other players will take this move seriously and express an interest in joining the team.
How does this work for the business? We’ve got you covered. Let’s say 10 thousand people attend. That’s $250,000 in gross revenue. Let’s say 1 million people watch live. That’s $2.5 million in gross revenue. Let’s say 50 million people watch the ad supported upload. That’s another $50 thousand in gross revenue. That’s $2.8 million in gross revenue per tournament alone. Let’s now say we host these events bi-weekly, equalling 26 tournaments per year. This doesn’t encompass all of the games we’ll be supporting, but this is just a baseline. That’s $72.8 million in gross revenue per year. Do we hoard the money? No. We invest in the community so it continues to grow. We bypass public trading and instead open a second location that only we own. So, for the sake of this example, we’ll put the first location in the US. Not only do we need more people to have access to come here and join the initiative, our community needs it too. This benefits the country. More people are coming here to spend money that goes right into the economy.
Let’s now say that we open our second location in Mexico. Great. Mexicans now have opportunities to look forward to and the problems caused by past mistakes have less bearing on their lives. This balances out immigration rates from that country and their economy begins to grow. Some people working here will go there to help get the location started. The rest of the positions will be filled by Mexican nationals who also launch their own businesses as gamers. The Gamers Pointe corporation doubles its annual gross revenue. We expand. Say we open a location in Canada and another one in South Africa. Each one fills up and the annual gross revenue quadruples. Now we can open four more. Let’s place those in Japan, New Zealand, Germany, and India. What about the previous locations and the jobs that opened up after a bunch of employees left to help out at new locations? We fill those positions with more citizens. Immigrants don’t steal jobs, they’re a scapegoat. Employers hire immigrants for lower rates of pay and then blame the immigrants when there’s backlash. Instead of opening international locations that all depend exclusively on those locals, we send some of our staff there, increasing their pay and career prospects. Locals accept those vacant positions and have all the same opportunities. Win-win-win. Sales by volume without price gouging does work, and Population Redistribution will work. But we need your support in order to make it happen. Please join us. Thank you for reading this far, we apologize for the long post, and we can’t wait to see you on the team. Please don’t forget to like, comment, and share. We’re accepting content submissions and more than ready to spread the word about your wonderful brand. Take care and we’ll see you again very soon. Back to Population Redistribution…So, more people than we initially predicted ended up visiting the site and checking out our first entry about Population Redistribution. That sure is promising. Hopefully this series will inspire some visible reactions soon.
Okay, we’ve identified some common concerns and responded to them. Let’s now take a look at some existing problems that would be addressed by the practice. The world currently lacks national support for Population Redistribution This means that world leaders obstruct Population Redistribution with policy instead of supporting a supposedly free person’s [or group’s] decision to relocate. Shipping, import, and export costs and time. Shipping can add up pretty quickly, and the cheaper the shipping, the longer it takes. With less red tape on top of the security checks and balances, shipping partners can more quickly and easily do their jobs. Furthermore, knowing that the demand for shipping may increase when people cross borders, inside the country or internationally, shipping companies can increase revenues and job fulfillment. But it doesn’t stop there. Being aware that you, the potential customer, could take your property with you, these companies will also be forced to provide you more appealing pricing. Finally, with such freedom, since business development is supposedly encouraged, more people can open shipping companies and force the existing brands to compete. What’s wrong with better pricing? What’s wrong with cost savings on life changing decisions? What’s wrong with job creation and fulfillment? What’s wrong with having the economic freedom to contribute to globalization initiatives? Big businesses are using crowdsourcing to contribute to shipping and delivery nationally. Amazon is contracting out work to independent shipping partners to help with local same day, 1 day, and 2 day deliveries. Imagine that sort of innovation spreading around the world. Imagine increased pay and better treatment when it does because of the value of human labor. Shipping companies will have to pay better to get much needed potential employees to accept those jobs and provide high quality service. Mass transit revenue. Some countries are encountering issues with mass transit. Many mass transportation systems are in jeopardy of being closed down or are in dire need of increased funding to continue running. Some cost more than the revenue they generate, leading to price hikes, low quality maintenance work, lost amenities, poor customer service, delays, and discontinued routes. It’s not fun to board a junker with high baggage prices just to fly a few hundred miles. It’s scary not knowing whether or not the craft is safe to travel in because of budget cuts. Sure, there are regulations in place, but those regulations are essentially minimum safety requirements and not the manufacturer recommendation. It’s not fun to board a bus in the winter that doesn’t have heat. Riders were already out on the cold and waiting to get on, and they have to sit on a cold bus just to visit loved ones in another city. It’s not fun to engage a frustrated employee who’s very rude because they’re underpaid, overworked, and dealing with unpleasant customers all day - customers who are largely unpleasant because of poor travel conditions. It’s not fun to deal with a cancellation because enough seats weren’t filled. Finally, it’s not fun to want to go somewhere and need to make other expensive arrangements or not be able to go because the route was closed or didn’t exist. With more people being free to travel, the travel industry can thrive off the increased demand and revenue. Availability of resources and taxable goods. One of the most obvious and valuable resources is human labor. Capitalist economies need human labor. With more people coming into a country, there are more people available to do the work. More people means more work, and that means more business tax revenue. This also means more funding available for business grants, even more jobs, even more tax revenue, and more market innovation. This results in more products and services, more income and sales tax revenue, and more economic mobility for more people. The tech industry is filled with regional goods that can much more easily find their way into previously unincluded countries. Getting these devices in supports market growth. Imagine what other resources can be brought in by immigrants alone. Some old families hold diamonds, gold, silver, rubies, jade, emeralds, quartz, copper, wood, brass, etc. They can bring those resources with them and add them to the available resources of their new host country. Criminal justice and imprisonment. Imprisonment is expensive and criminal justice systems are under fire with the public around the world. Maybe a better idea would be to ship out these convicts so they can work for their freedom instead of locking them in where their chances of being rehabilitated will decrease. These people could be contributive members of society if given the chance. If they can’t thrive in one place, let them try again elsewhere. Economic pressure is an important factor in a person’s decision to commit a crime. If a person is poor and starving, wouldn’t one expect them to steal food? If they’re dying of thirst, shouldn’t you expect them to steal something to drink? In this digital world, wouldn’t a reasonable person expect them to steal electronics so they can communicate and look for work? Deprivation doesn’t help people be better, it encourages them to be worse. Those are just some of the issues that would be addressed by a movement in favor of Population Redistribution. People tend to relocate when they’re missing something. Let’s let them do that. Got more existing problems you’d like addressed? Please add them to the comments below and we can discuss them. Thank you for reading along, please remember to be nice, and share! |
